Rik joined the group in September 2023. For his bachelor thesis he worked on studying and improving the controlled release rate of phosphate in biochar. During his first master year he acquired an interest in flexible electronics and CMOS fabrication. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, cooking and spending time
with his friends.

Amir Sohail became our team member in September 2023, introducing a dynamic fusion of skills and passion. With a robust metallurgical and materials engineering foundation, he developed a keen interest in energy-harvesting materials. In addition to his technical proficiency, Amir's zest for life manifests in his culinary pursuits, travel experiences, and avid engagement in reading.

Project: Fabrication of silver nanowire-alginate hybrids for skin electronics for accelerated wound healing through electrical field stimulation
Zhao Xiang is a master student of nanoscience, nanotechnology, and nanoengineering (Leuven), with nanobiotechnlogy as his option. During his bachelor thesis, he did some research on polyoxometalate-protein hybrids. He aspired to expand his knowledge beyond his background in biochemistry, choosing a more diverse domain such as nanotechnology. He joined the group from September, 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys doing and watching sports, and watching movies.

Eduardo is a recipient of the EIT-labeled SUMA scholarship. During his bachelor thesis he studied OLEDs made with iridium complexes and then decided to start working on thermoelectric materials for his master's thesis. He joined the group as a Master student in September 2020. In his spare time he likes travelling, playing basketball and videogames.

During his undergraduate study Farzad worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre of Nanotechnology (Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman), working on semiconductors, 2D Materials and their applications. He won the EIT scholarship for the master program and he joined the group as a master student from October 2020.
